Cheers to 2015 ..

In 2015 I made so many beautiful memories with family and friends! Here's a quick overview of the top five.  

ONE .. 

We rang in 2015 at home, in Iowa, with family and friends. Our year continued some of our closest friends and family came out to California, had babies, got pregnant, celebrated marriages and engagements! Not all in that order.

TWO ..

I spent a week with fabulous women I call family! We met in Washington, D.C. in time for the Cherry Blossom Festival. We stopped at all the right places - got to see all the sights lit up at night with a great tour guide. Rode bikes around the mall, ran through a garden, drove space rockets and learned a lot about our nation's history.

THREE .. 

We adopted Kato in May! Based on information from Laton Animal Rescue & Care and some internet sleuthing we think he's a 5 year old Finnish Lapphun. We couldn't be more enamored. We've taken him to the beach, through the river and to the mountains in the rain and snow - he's been hiking and car camping, loved and snuggled to the max - he still seems to love us.

FOUR .. 

We spent a week exploring Yosemite with J's dad and older sister. It was my first time carrying a bear vault - the BV450 Solo. The bear vault wasn't my favorite thing - filled with all my food for the trip. We hiked 30 miles from Tuolume Meadows down to 

FIVE .. 

At the beginning of the year I spent a few days with my siblings exploring in Des Moines. We spent 3 consecutive weekends with J's sister, a week at his brother's house (helping him and his wife finish up some renovations before their first baby). 

Jason​​, Kato and I are starting 2016 by moving to Washington! We're excited for the new adventure. We can't wait to share our new home with friends and family.
